Healthy Food Futures
Healthy eating is a large contributor of good health.
To ensure that the community of the Omeo Region can make healthy choices, Omeo District Health together with a team of local government, health services, food providers and consumers, are working towards improving food access and healthy food consumption in the Omeo Region.
The official launch of the project is scheduled for Saturday 20th February 2016, 10am – 12noon, at the Albion Hotel, Swifts Creek. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Community members are also encouraged to come along on the day and participate in the Omeo Region Harvest Exchange. An informal food share opportunity where home grown or homemade produce and food related goodies are pooled- inviting everyone to access the produce they need.
